Inflatable pool

full of dad’s hot air

I was three years old

splashin’ everywhere
And so began

my love affair

with water.

These two bring about a lot of noise…

A lot of wrestling…
A lot of activity…

A lot of playing…
A lot of laughter…

A lot of toys…
A lot of hugs…

A lot of tears…
A lot of love…

Last night the boys were getting in trouble right and left at dinner time. Long story short Luke went out of his way to get Daniel in trouble and got sent to his room to get in his pajamas for bed.
Well… that did not go over well. That little fellow threw one of the biggest screaming and crying tantrums I’ve witnessed in a while. Daniel was wanting to go and comfort him and I told him that we needed to leave Luke alone for a bit. The tantrum went on and on and finally Daniel looked at me with tears in his eyes and said, “He may have done a mean thing, but he’s my brother and I love him.”
Oh my goodness, how sweet can you be? So, I of course let Daniel go hug his brother and make him feel better.
It still took Luke a good while to calm down, but I loved that Daniel wanted to be there for his brother.
I hope they will always be that way. I hope they will be there for one another and have that unconditional love.
I love watching their brotherly love.

Pool swimming and boat riding…
Delicious greasy lunches and low humidity…
Naps and pies…
Bouncy houses and golf cart rides…
Family and fun!

I have come across a couple of recipes lately that I thought were super yummy, so I thought I would share. I have been dying to make this Lemon Pie since I had it at work one day and I finally made it for the fourth of July. I put the pie mixture in mini pie shells this time, but it’s great as a whole pie too!

Easy Lemon Pie
1 can Condensed Milk
1 8oz. Cream Cheese
½ cup Fresh Lemon Juice
1 tsp. Vanilla
Graham Cracker Crust
Cool Whip
Mix milk & cream cheese with mixer until creamy.
Stir in lemon juice & vanilla.
Pour into pie shell and top with Cool Whip.

Chicken Enchilada Ring
Click on the link above to get the recipe for this super yummy Enchilada Ring. It was a hit around here. I only made two changes to suit our family- I left the tomatoes out and I only used a can and a half of crescent rolls.
Yummy, yummy!
