Luke’s preschool is 3 days a week, so they just hit 100 days on Monday. They did all sorts of cute activities including answering questions about different 100 things. I’m loving his answers {well, maybe not in love with #1 }:

Yesterday, Luke had water play at school and then graduated last night. To say he was excited would be an understatement. He was pumped!

I’m loving his graduation picture. The resource teacher at his school took the pictures and they are just awesome.

My pictures from actual graduation are a little blurry. My child is in constant motion!

Bless his heart, his head is ginormous like his mother and they had his cap on his head so tight. After he got his diploma he fell down the steps! Now, I worked at the preschool for 5 years and have never had a kid fall down the steps. But, there went Luke. His cap fell off, so they stuck it on him the best they could. Fortunately, he came up smiling like this:

He got to choose anywhere to eat dinner as his graduation surprise. The boy loves a restaurant. Without even hesitating, he chose “the peanut place” aka Logan’s.

Such a special time for such a sweet boy. He really is very ready for Kindergarten, I’m just not sure about his momma!!

My boys were good to me on Mother’s Day. Daniel brought me a super milky bowl of cereal in bed. Sweet boy!

We went out to lunch and I got a rest time {never did fall asleep, darn it}.

Dan bought a comforter set for our bed. I have been complaining about ours something fierce, so this was a great gift! Little Luke, however, is convinced that there is an entire bed in the bag. He keeps asking me when I’m going to build my new bed. Silly boy! He’s always there to provide a giggle! 

On the way to drop Daniel off at school the other morning, We Built This City came on and I had this vivid memory of my mom driving me to elementary school and this song playing. Well, except it was when this song was first released. It was a neat moment.

A few days later we were listening again and the boys started singing the barbershop quartet’s version of Smells Like Teen Spirit. Well, I decided Daniel needed to hear the real thing to get why this was funny. So, I turned the Nirvana version on for the kiddos (I know, parenting at it’s best). Daniel looked like he didn’t know what to make of it. Luke, however, starts jumping up and down and head banging. As if he had been taught how. I found it both awesome and concerning at the same time.

Daniel has made his way through an entire beginning piano book and taught himself several songs. He can even play a song that requires both the left hand and the right hand. He still hasn’t mastered finger position, but he does a great job~ especially considering he has taught himself. He wants to play this song that he taught himself for the school talent show. Dan thinks it’s a great idea and signed the permission slip. He does impress me with his self taught skills (and confidence)!!

Luke is our little jukebox around here.  He is always singing.  I’m convinced there is a song running through his head at all times!  He is still singing Christmas songs.  In May!  Feliz Navidad being his favorite.  He also enjoys singing We Wish You a Merry Christmas through the grocery store.  And if you know Luke, then you know it’s loud.  The boy has no volume control.  We tend to get quite the looks these days. 

6:00-7:25- getting myself and a couple of kids ready- breakfast, packing lunches, rush, rush, hurry, hurry
7:35- drop off D3 and head to work

8:00-2:00- reading, reading, a smidge of math, reading…

2:30-5:00 rest, clean up, send out a bunch of resumes with a prayer for a job! Help Daniel study for a test (he wasn’t annoyed at all with the studying) while Luke played.

5:00-6:00 Took Daniel to Karate

We came home to grilled pork chops. Yum! And I didn’t have to cook it. The rest of the day was filled with showers and bedtime stories. Kitchen cleaning and DVRed TV shows.

It may not be super exciting, but this is a fairly typical day around these parts.

My photography skills leave a lot to be desired, but I wanted remember this time in our lives through picture in print and not just pictures in my mind.

As you walk into the house, you enter the living room/dining room.

After you walk through the dining room, you come to our light little kitchen. Dan did such a great job painting it!

Next, you head into the den where you will find the fam.

In there you will find a TV, computer, toys, a boy with a nerf gun, a boy with a DS and a dog with a cone on his head.

Down the bookcase lined hallway leads to the bedrooms.

Oh, look. It’s the doggie with the cone on his head!

Well, that’s home sweet home for now. Or say only 2 more months!

And last week, there were little eggs in those twigs.

This week, cute little fur ball babies now reside on the top the old rusty cabinet.

They are so tiny and cute.

The mom and dad trade off, but are usually there sitting right on top of the guys.

The miracle of life is just amazing to me. And is right out in our carport.

I tried to get some pics of my boys out in the bright, Easter sun. J

And since I haven’t embraced the camera in ages~ I decided to take a picture with my first born.

For most of the month of March, Dan and I were on pins and needles. We knew that we were going to find out at some point in March if we were being moved or not. Waiting was so stressful! Every time the phone rang, we thought we might be getting a call. We put our trust in God, but I kept struggling with the stress of the situation. We finally found out that we will indeed be moving this summer. We have been in this same area for 6 years now, so it’s just about all my kids know. We’re moving to a nice area about 40 minutes from the beach. So, that will be great.

In the meantime, we’re trying to get our house market-ready and that is also a stressful situation! So, cleaning supplies, paint brushes and packing tape have become my new friends.

Lots of changes though~ selling or renting our house, finding a new job for me, new area, new school for the boys. It’s exciting and scary and happy and sad and everything rolled into one.

I did manage to finish out my March photo a day prompts. I’m not doing this in April, but maybe I’ll pick back up in May.

My funny dog goes to bed every night about 7:00. He goes to Daniel’s bed and takes over until Daniel arrives later.

Daniel gave Luke the Ellie stuffed animal when he was born. Luke still sleeps with it at night 5 years later!
