My D3 is a piece of work (as are the rest of us, but…).
Here are a few Daniel tidbits from this past week:
- When we picked him up from school one day last week he said, “I was too invigorated at school today…”
- Was insistent on wearing his plaid tie with his striped shirt to church Sunday. And he did. And I actually got over it.
- Listens to Alvin & the Chipmunks the Squeakquel CD all the time.
- Scored a 117 on the Oral Reading part of a reading test. He only had to score a 20.
- Fills me full of Star Wars facts. All day. Every day.
- Learned triple digit addition with carrying while waiting for dinner the other night.
- Has fits if he’s not in first place in Mario Kart.
- Made all A’s on his report card again.
- Wondered why there were no 3D glasses with his Scooby Doo 3D board game.
- Always says underpants instead of underwear. He thinks it’s hilarious. He’s such a boy.
- Moved the mattress over and slept on the slats of his bunk bed the other night.
- Gives out hard hugs and kisses and snuggles.
He keeps life fun around here!
I have been married to my wonderful husband, Dan for 9 years. I couldn’t ask for a better husband or father for my children!
We have two wonderful little boys. D3 is very smart, very sweet, and very spirited. He’s seven years old. L is very sweet, very cuddly, and very spunky. He is three years old.
My main job at this point in my life is mommy and I’m blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom most of the time. I also teach preschool part time and love it.
He and Nate are alike in so many ways! I wonder where the underpants thing came from. Hopefully Nate will be as much of a smarty pants as Daniel! He did just score a 100 on his first spelling test. I don’t remember ever having a spelling test in Kindergarten! We need to get online with you guys and Mario Kart so the boys can race each other!

I’ve told Dan I think Daniel might be smarter than us. Right now we’re older and know more, but he loves to learn and learns so quickly that I think he might pass us by. Dan of course doesn’t agree.
And I know we never had a spelling test in Kindergarten! School is getting harder on kids earlier and earlier. Congrats to Nate on his 100! And Daniel would love to race Nate! He’s so darn competitive with that game though.
