And the Worst Blogger award of 2011 goes to….

Me!

I’ve never let my blog sit so long without an update!

It has been so crazy~busy around here! I want to keep up my blog, because I love looking back and seeing what we were doing at certain points in our lives.

The major reason that I have not been around this {pretty, fall~ thanks to Dan} blog is that my hours at my new job were doubled! Awesome for me, but not the ole’ bloggy. I now have a full morning of reading groups and 3 afternoon math groups.

Daniel’s karate, Luke’s soccer, and my poor hubby’s ankle have also kept things busy around these parts.

I’m definitely having to adjust to this working mom thing. I’m not full-time, but pretty close and then there is so much planning, since this is my first year doing this!

My poor printer and google search bar are exhausted. And can I give another shout out to teacher blogs. Love you! They have been so helpful.

Number 9 AKA Luke is LOVING soccer. He can’t wait until his soccer games and plays really hard and cheers on his teammates when he is taking a break. He’s scored several goals including 2 for the other team Thursday. J How dare they switch which goal is ours with a bunch of 4 year olds! ;)

Dan is hanging in there and still coaching on crutches.

You can see him in the background of the picture above.

He’s scheduled for another Dr. appointment Monday for his ankle. He’s made some progress, but not a lot. Still no weight on it yet and we’re almost at one month since he hurt it. Poor guy is SO tired of the crutches and being unable to walk on his foot.

Daniel had a program last week. It was called Educations Rocks and it was cute. He had a speaking part. The picture quality is awful, I just had my cell phone and was a mile away from him.

He also started riding the bus last week. He thinks it’s the greatest thing (thank goodness). I was having to do so much rushing around to get the kids after work, that this has worked out just great! They let him off right in front of the house, since we live on a busy road. We swore we would try not to do the bus with the kids, but this bus driver runs a tight ship, so I feel better about it! He has a couple of really good buddies on the bus, so that really helps.

I’m going to really try to blog just little bits through the week, that way it’s not such a daunting task! I want to be able to remember this crazy time in our lives. This time where Simply Cindy’s life is a little less simple!

Pumpkin Patch & Trick or Treat…

We had a big day yesterday. Luke’s class went to the Pumpkin Patch on a field trip AND it was Trick or Treat night in our town. Don’t ask why it was on a Thursday~ I just went with the flow!

Most of the Pumpkin Patch pictures were with Luke’s BFF. They are always together at school and couldn’t be separated for long on the field trip! They are too cute. Anyway, I don’t want to post his pic, since I don’t have permission.

It had been raining all night and morning, so it was a bit soggy out there, so…. School tshirt and rainboots were in order!

I lost count of how many times Luke went down this slide. He LOVED it.

Guess I should have gotten his picture with his pumpkin, huh? It is the PUMPKIN PATCH after all. <sigh> Maybe I’ll do that today. He is so proud of that pumpkin!

The boys were just a bit excited, because one of their friends was having a Halloween party. The boys got to play with some friends and eat pizza and then go out in a big group to Trick-or-Treat.

Here is Harry Potter ready to go!

And Mickey Mouse. His little picture is blurry. L I guess it was not a good day with taking Luke’s picture.

Ready to go!!

One of Daniel’s friends from his class was dressed as Hermione Granger, so he was so excited that they had matching costumes!

I thought D3 made a great Harry Potter!

The boys made out like bandits. They got their buckets loaded with some good candy!

We had a fun day, but it was a little hard getting up for school this morning!

It’s Fall Y’all…

I love nice fall days where the boys play outside all day long~ only coming in for food, nap, and to bowl on the Wii.

I love nice fall days where Dan gets a last minute invite to go to the Auburn game. And gets to go watch them beat LSU!

I love nice fall days where there is a pumpkin on the front porch just waiting to be carved into a jack-o-lantern.

I love nice fall days where there is a great smelling fall candle on the counter and ingredients for pumpkin bread sitting in the pantry ready to be mixed.

I love fall, ya’ll!!

The Zoo {picture overload}…

The boys and I had Fall Break earlier this week. It was a nice little break and we thoroughly enjoyed our time off. The weather was beautiful, so we headed to the zoo.

I wasn’t sure how Luke would behave {he has quite the amount of crazy energy lately}, but he did great! He really paid attention to the animals and LOVED it.

Daniel, of course loved it as well.

My cute boys in stripes!

I know he’s mine and all, but I think D3 is such a handsome boy!

We stayed and watched the monkeys for the longest time. There was a 2 month old baby that was CUTE.

The little monkey was holding on for dear life to another monkey. Another monkey came over and they started wrestling and here came momma monkey and grabbed the baby and got it away from the others. I thought the similarities to human brothers/sisters/mommas was hilarious! I could just hear the momma monkey saying “You are playing too rough with the baby!” It was very cute.

Luke could not wait to see the lions and jaguar, so I tried to get his picture with the animals in the background. These about sum up Luke’s little playful personality.

Silly

This picture is so Luke~ in the middle of telling some tall-tale.

He can’t stop talking and playing around long enough for a good picture! Christmas pictures should be interesting this year.

My favorites are the giraffes! I love them.

Well, maybe this time it was the cute little monkey…. Or this otter.

I really wanted to bring that little thing home! He was so interactive!

Dan’s favorite was this pretty green bird that flew right up to him.

And Daniel always loves the Reptile House {yuck!!} I totally get shivers in that place, but all 3 boys love it.

We had a great time and the kids were worn out! It was a wonderful way to spend a fall day…

Lake Halloween…

We went up to my parent’s lake place Friday night and Saturday. Usually two weekends in October they do Halloween activities and the boys love it. Who wouldn’t love some extra Trick-or-Treating??

We went to a “flea market” and ate all forms of fried foods. Can’t beat some good fried dough! After bouncing around in a bounce house for a while, Luke conked out with Nana.

He woke up just in time for campsite trick or treating. He was not quite awake and needed much encouragement and reminding of what Trick or Treating was.

Luke refused to look at the camera, but he was an awfully cute Mickey Mouse!

It didn’t take him long to get in the groove!

Daniel was Obi Wan Kenobi from Star Wars the Clone Wars. Several people thought he was the Burger King guy, which totally offended him! Ha!

Mickey & Obi Wan on the golf cart with Papa

As I was taking the boys’ picture in front of these pretty fall decorations, Luke sat in a mum. I mean full on sat in it!

That poor little mum will never be the same!

The night ended with Daniel missing the Haunted Hayride through the woods and the Gators losing to Mississippi State {I mean, come on!! It was Home Coming!!!}. There was much crying all around.

All in all it was a lot of fun though!!
