My Day: A play by play…

I’ve had a pretty typical Tuesday today. Since I finally have a new camera (we took the last new one back because we didn’t like it- so now we have a new, new one) I thought I would take pics and document my ever so exciting day. J
Mornings are crazy! Two kids, getting everyone dressed, [...]

I Shall Conquer Summer…

So my last post was all the snow that we received and now I’m talking about the summer. Do you think someone is ready for some warm weather? I’m so tired of cold!

Well, the snow day and frankly some weekend days have made me think about summer when both of my boys will be home. [...]

Jack o’ Lantern fun…

This past Saturday was perfect pumpkin carving weather! It was cool out, so the boys and I got our pumpkin and started the jack o’ lantern.

Daniel + a knife= scary image.
He did great though, and cut an opening at top of the pumpkin.
Ignore my rusty old outdoor furniture. It really needs painting or replacing!

Ewww…..

Scooping out [...]

Looking back at first days of school…

I still can’t get over how much my kids change in a year.  It is gradual in the day to day, but when you look back on pictures, it’s hard to believe.
Here are some first day of school look backs.

Sticky Fingers and Big Wet Kisses…

For Mother’s Day, D3 gave me the sweetest poem with his handprint. Thought I would share.
Happy Mother’s Day!

Sticky Fingers and Big Wet Kisses

Sticky fingers and big wet kisses
Dirty toes and stars with wishes
Splashing through puddles and hugs too tight
Afternoon naps and sleepless nights
I’m growing so fast, I’ll soon be grown
So I’ve made you this handprint [...]

In the motherhood…

So, sometimes you get yourself and both kids dressed and take the oldest to school and then head to run some Easter errands with the little one. And sometimes the little one is just in a bad mood.
Walking the aisles of Target involves lots of “I want… I want… I want…” So, maybe you give [...]

WFMW: Buying Diapers…

Like anyone with a little one, we go through a lot of diapers around this house! They are so expensive, but so necessary. I’m also cheap frugal, so wanted to find the least expensive way to buy diapers. For most of my little one’s life that would have been at Sam’s Club. You can buy [...]

Saturday morning…

My kids got up at 5:00 and 5:45 Saturday morning. What the heck? When do kids start to sleep in? Any day now will do.
So, I fix toast and jelly in my half-asleep state, because the little one thinks you have to eat breakfast the moment you wake up.
Around 7:30 the tornado sirens start going off, [...]

Valentine’s Weekend…

My Valentine’s Day was drawn out over three days and was very kid-centric. And that’s okay by me. I’m really not a big romantic Valentine’s kind of person. I dunno, I think you should show your loved one that you love them every day, not just once a year with a gigantic stuffed animal. But [...]

The potty is half full…I hope…

Well, I think I’m full of wishful thinking this week. No, maybe I am just being very optimistic. That’s what it is. Optimistic.
First, it was my switch to a spring blog theme. (Thanks, Dan)
Now, I have these items ready to go today:

Crazy? Optimistic? I haven’t decided yet. J
