Alternate title: Luke REALLY loves flour….

Alternate title: Luke REALLY loves flour….

My first born little man is nine years old now! It’s crazy how fast time flies when you’re someone’s Momma!
Daniel woke up to his now expected balloons in his room. There were nine of them this year.

And streamers in the door way.

We spaced out the gift opening a little bit, because he was so excited. There was lots of Star Wars lego play before 8:00!

Daniel had a few buddies come over to play and eat pizza around lunch time. He was so proud of his cake. He went to the store and picked it out all by himself. Lots of chocolate. And some weird Christmas gift that looked like Mardi Gras on top. I love that he has embraced his December birthday, because he loved that Christmas birthday cake!

He got some fun gifts from his friends and had a blast playing with them.

We rested for a bit after D’s friends left and then we headed to Zoo Lights.

The boys had a blast and Daniel declared his birthday a success!

It’s pretty obvious that I’ve had a hard time blogging since I got my new job. There have been dozens upon dozens of times that I’ve sat down to blog and just haven’t been able to focus on it. So, here are four blog posts in rapid form.
#1 Post: Luke and the Cowboy Birthday Party…

Luke had a ball at one of his best buddy’s birthday parties. He wanted no part of riding the horse, but he rode the little wagon. And was much too busy for a picture!

#2 Post: Wordless Wednesday: Hatman…

#3 Post: Our Awesome Thanksgiving…

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Break at Dan’s brother’s house. I didn’t take very many pictures there, but we all had a wonderful time! There was lots of playing, children, food, shopping and movie watching.
The day before Thanksgiving we headed down to Legoland for the day. It was a surprise for the kiddos and they were so excited!

We had such a great time. The boys sweetly held hands and walked around. I had to take a picture to document such a momentous occasion. J

#4 Post: Wordless Wednesday: Back from the Library…

Jeremy has been up to some good old fashioned Christmas mischief here lately.
The first picture is hard to make out since my counters are white.

Making snow angels in rice on the kitchen counter

Hanging from the lights in the den

Winning Yahtzee!

Jeremy packed Daniel’s lunch. Pudding, canned peas, syrup and dog treats. Yum.

Toilet papering the Christmas tree!

Hanging the boys’ underwear from the ceiling fan.
{He might have gotten this idea from an elf relative
}
Jeremy, Santa’s elf is back! The boys were beyond excited. I have never seen Luke so excited about something. He was jumping up and down and screaming. I didn’t get a pic of Jeremy that first night, but he brought some peppermint patties and a stocking holder for Luke. Santa sent a note reminding us of the elf rules and told Luke to be careful with his new stocking holder. J

So, Luke’s stocking is back where it belongs.
The next day the boys found Jeremy in our Christmas tree.

Daniel has written to Jeremy asking all sorts of questions like how old he is and if he is a ninja elf. So, Luke got paper and wrote to Jeremy. This is his first note ever!

He wrote Luke and We. The translation would be that Luke wanted him to play the Wii. So… the next night Jeremy played a little Mario Kart on the Wii.

Since his note seemed to work one night, Luke tried for another and added onto his note:

I helped him a little bit with his spelling of snow.
It turns out our little Curious George decided he would touch Jeremy with the pencil that he was writing his note with. Well, it’s a big no no to touch Jeremy~ he might lose his magic. So, this morning we found him resting on the bookshelf.

Maybe this will keep little nosey fingers away from him for a bit. J He was a little horrified at Jeremy having to rest, so I think he will leave him alone now.
Jeremy adds such a fun little addition to our Christmas season. Can’t wait to see what he does next!
