Two cute Christmas crafts…

Luke brings home the cutest crafts from his class! He has the most creative teachers.

This has to be hands down my favorite craft.

The picture just isn’t as cute as the real thing. It’s adorable! There is a cute little poem on the back-

This little angel is special you see;
Because he is a part of me.
His wings are my hands,
His body my feet,
And on the tree he’ll look very sweet.

He also brought home the three wise men.

Adorable!

Christmas Card…

I’m participating in Faith’s Christmas Card Carnival today.

I never managed to get a great picture of the boys together for a photo card and started tossing around the idea of using a kid drawing for the card. I asked Daniel to draw a manger scene for me and I thought it turned out cute. I scanned it into the computer and made a card with it. I think it will be a card that I will look back on fondly and remember when I had a first grader that drew sweet little pictures!

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!!!

Christmas updates…

We got our tree last Monday and got it set up. The kids helped decorate a lot of the tree this year. The pictures don’t do it justice. I think it is hard to get a good picture of a Christmas tree.

While we were at the Christmas tree farm (aka Lowe’s) Luke decides to walk over to a pole that had just been painted and stick his hands on it. His hands were completely yellow and he got some paint on his brand new jacket! I was sick, but I managed to most of the paint out of the jacket.

I asked him to show me his hands for the picture, but he kept showing himself.

As we were walking to the car he said, “I touch wet paint. I not do that again!”

The boys made a gingerbread house this weekend. That’s a first for us. They really got into the decorating. I put some frosting on the house for them and they went to town decorating it all by themselves. They were quite proud.

Luke keeps saying “I not fit in door. I get stuck.” I guess he thought it was going to be a real house and not a little one.

Our Christmas Pageant at church was this past Sunday. The kids did a great job. D3 was a wise man (or wise guy, if you ask me ;) ).

Luke thought about dressing up, but decided to go to the nursery instead. Probably a wise choice. J

And one last picture for my mom:

You were right. The candy reindeer nose very high on the Christmas tree still got eaten by the candy monster. It didn’t even last a week!
