Doctors, Doctors…

We have become the sick house again!

Little one was so fussy on Saturday, but I didn’t think much of it. Until about 10:00 when we heard him start to cry in his room and went in to see he was throwing up. This is his third round with a stomach bug this year and by far the worst! I feel so bad for him, he is just miserable. He hasn’t held much of anything down since Saturday (not even water), so I was beginning to get worried. Dan took him to the doctor today to get checked out. His saving grace was a wet diaper when they were there otherwise they were going to admit him to the hospital for dehydration. She prescribed an anti nausea medicine and told us to give him Pedialyte (which he hates!) He has to go back tomorrow. So, we could use some prayers that the little guy is able to start keeping food down, because I really don’t want him to have to go to the hospital.

I finally went to the ENT yesterday since I had that weird allergic reaction earlier this month. He said he didn’t think it was an allergic reaction at all, but a problem with my throat and swallowing. So, he scheduled me for a barium swallow this week. I’m not quite sure how I’m supposed to do that with a sick kiddo, we’ll see. I might have to push it to next week. I will be just fine if I don’t have to see the inside of a doctor’s office for quite a while after this month of doctor appointments! It’s been crazy!

Wordless Wednesday: New Smile…

A busy time…

Today is the first day back into reality after our fun Spring Break. We all had a great time relaxing at the lake. Little one gained a new found love of the golf cart (as if he didn’t love it before!) all he wanted to do was ride that thing. There was also a bit of fishing that happened once Dan arrived. He caught about 4 fish. The kids seemed to enjoy that too.

Now it’s back to reality. School and work. We’ve got some major stuff coming up in the next three months, however.

  • Next week (or even the end of this week) we should find out where we are moving. Dan is graduating, so he will be reappointed to another church.
  • Easter festivities- egg hunt and service.
  • Dan preaches the Chapel service at Candler (Emory University). I’m quite proud of him. J
  • Dan graduates. Yeah! Again, quite proud.
  • Dan and I go on our celebratory cruise! So excited about this!!
  • Lots of cleaning and packing and then moving in the summer.
  • Somewhere in there I have to try and find a new job!

I’m trying to not be stressed or super anxious about all this stuff, but that can be hard. I’m very excited about our upcoming events/changes. I’m trying to not let the stress overtake the excitement, but some days I lose that battle.

“Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?” right? I will have to keep repeating that to myself. J

Hope everyone has a great week and I hope I can get back into the swing of things without too much trouble.

I Live with all Boys… Exhibit B

Exhibit B is not quite as funny as Exhibit A, however it still gave me a good giggle.

Our car shall never need to fear, because Spiderman is here.

Something about a 31 year old woman driving down the road alone, and noticing Spidey hanging from the clothes hook in the back seat gave me a giggle.

Have a good weekend!
